Bob Gates is New Secretary of Defense

Just announced by Bush in the press conference. Here is a good page on Bob Gates, the nominee to be our new Secretary of Defense. He has a great resume, no doubt. Currently he serves as the President of Texas A&M University and he was formerly the Director of the CIA.

He did put up a post quoting more of Lewis Carroll's nonsense poetry to expressed his glee that Rumsfeld is gone. But we'll have to wait for his approval of the replacement. Gates has met high standards in the past in a storied career, but we'll see if he's crunchy enough for the granola bungalow nuts.
